About the Role
Microsoft Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) builds the infrastructure that powers Microsoft’s Intelligent Cloud mission. Within the Platform Systems Engineering (PSE) team, you’ll help design and deliver large-scale AI networking solutions that support Microsoft’s global online services.
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and integration of AI network systems for large-scale deployments
- Drive end-to-end validation, performance optimization, and deployment readiness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable operation, security, and compliance
- Partner with engineering stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and improve system performance over time
- Contribute to infrastructure and manageability solutions that support trusted customer experiences
Requirements
- Experience designing or operating networked infrastructure in cloud or data center environments
- Strong background in systems engineering with a focus on scalability and reliability
- Practical knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure networking concepts (e.g., high-throughput, low-latency communication patterns)
- Ability to work through complex integration and validation activities in production-like environments
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across engineering teams
