About the Role
Scout Motors is seeking a Senior Director to lead energy systems architecture, integration, and AI strategy. In this role, you’ll help shape how our electrified and range-extended powertrain platforms come together—supporting both long-term technical direction and day-to-day execution across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve energy systems architecture for electrified and range-extended vehicle platforms
- Drive system integration across software, controls, power electronics, and vehicle subsystems
- Establish AI strategy and use cases that improve energy management, diagnostics, and overall efficiency
- Partner with engineering leaders to translate requirements into scalable technical plans
- Oversee technical reviews, risk management, and technical decision-making to ensure delivery
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align roadmaps and integration timelines
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in energy systems, vehicle electrification, or related platform architecture
- Strong systems thinking with experience integrating complex hardware and software components
- Demonstrated experience applying AI/ML concepts to real-world engineering problems (energy or diagnostics preferred)
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate technical strategy clearly
- Track record of delivering platform-level initiatives in a fast-moving environment
