Senior Director, Worldwide Commercial Category Lead (Remote)

Commercial strategy Go-to-market planning Partner ecosystem management

About the Role

Microsoft is entering a major transformation for Windows—powered by AI PCs, Copilot+ PCs, endpoint modernization, and new security and manageability capabilities. As a Senior Director and Worldwide Commercial Category Lead, you’ll help shape how Windows shows up commercially in this new era, turning platform strategy into partner and field execution that drives measurable growth.

You’ll define where the Windows commercial business plays, what gets prioritized and funded, and what “winning” looks like globally—by aligning product strategy, engineering direction, marketing priorities, partner dynamics, field insights, and financial commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Set global commercial category strategy for Windows, including investment priorities and success criteria.
  • Translate business goals into actionable plans across product, engineering, marketing, partners, and the field.
  • Coordinate cross-functional alignment on roadmap and go-to-market priorities based on market and customer needs.
  • Own partner ecosystem and field input to ensure execution reflects real-world requirements.
  • Drive measurable growth through clear funding decisions, performance tracking, and iterative optimization.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience driving commercial strategy across global or multi-region teams.
  • Strong ability to align product, engineering, and go-to-market stakeholders toward shared outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of partner ecosystems and field execution models.
  • Track record of using financial and performance metrics to guide investment and prioritization.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to shape a strategic, high-impact direction for Windows in a rapidly evolving market.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, engineering, marketing, partners, and the field.
  • Be part of a transformation focused on modern endpoints, security, and manageability.
