Senior Distribution Engineer (Grid) | Hybrid Work Model

About the Role

Join our project-focused engineering team as a Senior Distribution Engineer (Grid). This hybrid role requires in-office collaboration three days per week at the Sargent & Lundy office in Peachtree Corners, GA, with the flexibility to work remotely as well.

You’ll apply your expertise in engineering and design practices to lead technical work, review deliverables, and support project teams delivering reliable distribution system solutions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review construction sketches and detailed designs for overhead and underground network services (4 kV through 34 kV)
• Support structural analysis efforts and engineering deliverables
• Perform and/or review short-circuit and voltage-drop calculations
• Develop and review Bills of Material (BOM) and cost estimates
• Contribute to traffic control plans and permit drawing packages
• Collaborate with engineers across project teams designing new upstream and midstream oil and gas facilities
• Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and design review activities
• Coordinate directly with client representatives to support design progress and technical alignment

Requirements

• Strong distribution engineering knowledge, including overhead and underground network services (4 kV through 34 kV)
• Experience with short-circuit and voltage-drop analysis
• Ability to produce and review structural analysis outputs and engineering details
• Familiarity with BOM development, cost estimating, and construction/permit documentation
• Experience participating in design reviews and safety-focused engineering processes such as PHA
