About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior IBM ODM Developer and Software Engineer Lead to drive the development and ongoing support of software capabilities for a Lending Digital Payment Platform. You’ll own the Business Rules Engine (BRE) rule lifecycle and deliver Java/Spring Boot APIs that connect decisioning logic with enterprise data sources.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the BRE rule portfolio, including rule sets for payment eligibility, validation, and execution decisioning
- Translate business policies into executable rules by eliciting requirements and clarifying rule logic
- Build and maintain Java/Spring Boot APIs that integrate decisioning with enterprise systems
- Partner with product, architecture, engineering, QA, and operations to deliver secure, resilient, and maintainable services
- Provide technical guidance to peers through design input, code/rule reviews, and engineering best practices
- Promote engineering craftsmanship through standards, disciplined testing, and modern delivery practices
Requirements
- Experience with IBM ODM / Business Rules Engineering concepts and rule lifecycle management
- Strong Java and Spring Boot experience building and integrating backend APIs
- Experience integrating decisioning logic with enterprise data sources
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical rule implementations
- Strong collaboration skills across engineering, QA, and operations
