About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior IBM ODM Developer to serve as a Software Engineer Lead for the Lending Digital Payment Platform. You’ll own the Business Rules Engine (BRE) rule lifecycle and build Java/Spring Boot APIs that connect decisioning to enterprise data sources. Working closely with product, architecture, QA, and operations, you’ll help deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable services.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the BRE rule portfolio, including rules for payment eligibility, validation, and execution decisioning
- Translate business policies into executable rules by eliciting requirements and clarifying rule logic
- Design and deliver Java/Spring Boot APIs that enable decisioning and integrate with enterprise data sources
- Partner across teams to ensure solutions are secure, resilient, and easy to support in production
- Provide technical guidance to peers and lead through code/rule reviews and engineering standards
- Drive strong testing discipline and modern delivery practices throughout the rules and API lifecycle
Requirements
- Strong experience with IBM ODM (Operational Decision Manager) and business rules engineering
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for building and integrating APIs
- Experience integrating decisioning logic with enterprise data sources
- Ability to translate business requirements into executable rule sets
- Demonstrated leadership in software delivery, including reviews, standards, and test practices
