About the Role
Roku is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to help build personalized recommendations that improve the TV streaming experience. You’ll work on models and systems that power discovery and engagement across Roku’s platform, collaborating with a team focused on delivering meaningful, user-centered results.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and iterate machine learning models for recommendation use cases
- Partner with engineers and product stakeholders to deploy and improve ML-driven experiences
- Own the end-to-end workflow from data preparation and feature engineering to evaluation and monitoring
- Continuously improve model performance using experimentation and rigorous analysis
- Contribute to scalable ML infrastructure and best practices for model lifecycle management
Requirements
- Strong experience building production machine learning systems
- Proficiency with common ML frameworks and tools (e.g., Python)
- Solid understanding of data pipelines, feature engineering, and model evaluation
- Experience with experimentation, metrics, and performance monitoring
- Ability to collaborate across teams and translate requirements into technical solutions
