About the Role
Join Honeywell’s Energy & Sustainability Solutions (ESS) as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineering Manager. You’ll set and guide global design strategy, lead a team of designers, and help deliver innovative, user-centered solutions for customers across industries.
You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to translate design goals into practical requirements—ensuring our mechanical designs are intuitive, visually compelling, and built to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a global team of designers to drive delivery of mechanical design solutions
- Define design direction, goals, and requirements in partnership with cross-functional teams
- Ensure designs support strong user experience and customer-focused outcomes
- Coordinate development efforts across stakeholders to deliver consistent, high-quality results
- Contribute to design strategy for energy and sustainability products and solutions
Requirements
- Experience leading mechanical design engineering efforts and guiding teams
- Strong understanding of design requirements and translating them into actionable plans
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering and product stakeholders
- Demonstrated commitment to user-centered thinking and customer needs
- Willingness to work onsite full-time for the first 90 days, then transition to hybrid schedule
Work Location & Schedule
- Hybrid work schedule based out of Tulsa, OK (also noted: Rosemont, IL)
- First 90 days: 100% onsite Monday–Friday
