About the Role
Hot Topic is seeking a Senior Social Media Specialist to help bring our social strategy to life. In this hybrid role, you’ll plan, coordinate, and execute owned social content and campaigns across key platforms—supporting product launches, licensed collections, brand initiatives, and always-on engagement.
Responsibilities
- Own the social content calendar and ensure timely delivery of posts and campaign assets
- Plan and execute social campaigns that align with Hot Topic’s brand and business goals
- Coordinate cross-functional partners across Merchandising, Creative Services, Photography, Video Production, Ecommerce, and Influencer Marketing
- Support campaign rollout from concept through execution, including creative opportunity spotting
- Monitor social trends and audience/fandom dynamics, with an understanding of the licensing landscape
- Ensure content is accurate, on-brand, and optimized for engagement and brand awareness
Requirements
- Proven experience managing social media content and running campaign execution
- Strong understanding of social trends, platform best practices, and engagement drivers
- Ability to collaborate effectively with creative and cross-functional teams
- Experience supporting brand campaigns and/or product launch content
- Comfort working with licensed/entertainment-related brand considerations
