About the Role
Illumio is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help advance our container security capabilities. We build breach containment solutions that stop attacks from spreading across hybrid, multi-cloud environments—supporting Zero Trust and stronger cyber resilience.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve software components related to container security
- Collaborate with engineering and security teams to translate requirements into reliable systems
- Build and maintain services that help detect and contain threats before they escalate
- Contribute to architecture, code quality, testing, and operational readiness
- Participate in technical planning and continuous improvement across the engineering organization
Requirements
- Strong experience building production software systems
- Background in security engineering and/or secure software development practices
- Experience working with containerized environments (e.g., Docker/Kubernetes) and related security considerations
- Comfort collaborating across teams in a fast-moving, security-focused environment
