About the Role
Learning Commons is building AI infrastructure that helps connect how students learn with the tools they use. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Infrastructure team, you’ll help scale the platforms that support learning science–informed experiences for teachers and students.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain infrastructure services that enable AI-powered learning experiences
- Partner with engineering and product teams to translate classroom needs into reliable technical solutions
- Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability across production environments
- Support integrations that help school districts align tools with curricula and instructional workflows
Requirements
- Proven experience building and operating production software systems
- Strong software engineering fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, testing, and debugging)
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems
- Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate technical decisions clearly
