About the Role
MongoDB is looking for a Software Engineer 3 to help build and evolve Atlas Search Systems, a multi-cloud service that enables users to run advanced search experiences across MongoDB Atlas. You’ll contribute to systems that help customers modernize applications and unlock AI-powered use cases with globally distributed, multi-cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve backend services that power Atlas Search capabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable features across AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure
- Write maintainable code, run tests, and participate in performance and reliability improvements
- Investigate issues, troubleshoot production problems, and drive long-term fixes
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building distributed systems
- Proficiency with one or more backend languages and frameworks used for production services
- Experience working with data-intensive applications and search-related concepts
- Comfort working in a collaborative environment with code reviews and engineering best practices
