About the Role
Roku is building the TV streaming platform that connects the entire TV ecosystem—from consumers to content publishers and advertisers. In this Embedded Software Engineering role, you’ll help develop intelligent, embedded experiences that bring AI-driven capabilities to the TV platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize embedded software components for TV experiences
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver agentic AI features in production environments
- Contribute to system architecture, performance tuning, and reliability improvements
- Work with engineers and product partners to translate requirements into scalable implementations
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building embedded or systems-level applications
- Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into software products (agentic or conversational systems preferred)
- Proficiency in one or more relevant programming languages (e.g., C/C++/Python/Java)
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-moving engineering environment
