About the Role
Scout Motors is building the next generation of rugged, American-made vehicles—bringing heritage into the future through electrification and connected digital experiences. We’re looking for a Staff iOS Software Engineer to help shape high-quality mobile applications that support our customers and teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead iOS architecture and technical direction for key mobile features and experiences
- Design, develop, and maintain iOS applications using modern Apple frameworks and best practices
- Partner with product, backend, and design teams to deliver reliable, user-focused software
- Drive engineering quality through testing strategy, code reviews, and performance improvements
- Mentor engineers and raise the bar for scalability, maintainability, and delivery
Requirements
- Strong professional experience building production iOS applications
- Expertise with Swift and iOS frameworks (e.g., UIKit/SwiftUI, networking, concurrency)
- Experience designing robust app architectures and integrating with APIs
- Strong debugging skills and attention to performance, reliability, and security
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate technical decisions clearly
