Staff Product Designer (AI Builder) | Experience Design Lead | Remote

About the Role

Babylist is looking for a Staff Product Designer (AI Builder) to help shape the next generation of the Babylist experience. In this role, you’ll serve as the durable design owner for a major part of the product—someone the company relies on to answer the hard questions about user experience, interaction quality, and overall direction.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end experience layer for a key Babylist product area, including how it feels and flows
• Partner with product managers, engineers, and data partners to define and refine user journeys
• Conduct hands-on research to validate needs, uncover insights, and guide design decisions
• Use AI-enabled building approaches to prototype, iterate, and bring ideas to life faster
• Ensure each interaction meets both functional requirements and emotional usability goals
• Set and communicate a clear vision for what’s intuitive, beautiful, and right for users

Requirements

• Proven experience designing complex product experiences with strong user-flow thinking
• Track record of owning design outcomes and influencing cross-functional teams
• Hands-on research experience (qualitative and/or quantitative) to inform design direction
• Ability to collaborate closely with engineering and data partners to ship effectively
• Experience with AI-enabled tools or building workflows that support product design and iteration
