About the Role
Southern Electric Corporation (SEC), a Quanta Services company, is seeking a Substation Safety Specialist to provide safety leadership and technical expertise for Transmission and Distribution projects. This role supports jobsite safety performance across electrical utility work, with a strong emphasis on training, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver substation and electrical jobsite safety support for transmission and distribution projects
- Partner with project teams to promote safe work practices and risk awareness
- Provide safety expertise to help ensure work is performed in accordance with applicable requirements
- Support incident prevention through coaching, observations, and safety-focused feedback
- Help reinforce training and safety culture across crews and equipment operations
Requirements
- Experience in electrical utility safety, substation safety, or related safety roles
- Strong understanding of safety processes and compliance expectations in field operations
- Ability to communicate clearly with crews, supervisors, and stakeholders
- Commitment to preventing injuries and maintaining a high standard of safety
