About the Role
We’re seeking a Switch Systems Test Engineer (Member of Technical Staff) to help standardize and scale switch-based DVT (XDVT) test coverage for next-generation optical transceiver products. You’ll drive improvements to how test coverage is defined, submitted, verified, and reported—while partnering closely with design, QA, and cross-site teams.
Responsibilities
- Support the standardization and rollout of switch-based DVT (XDVT) coverage for 800G, 1.6T, and future 3.2T optical transceiver platforms.
- Continuously define and refine XDVT test coverage, streamlining submission, verification, and data reporting workflows.
- Coordinate global XDVT activities and assist with XDVT failure analysis in partnership with design teams across R&D sites.
- Help module design and QA teams with urgent optical transceiver evaluation, tuning, debugging, and optimization on switch platforms.
- Interface directly with switch and DSP vendors to co-debug complex link flap issues with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate on developing module tuning/optimization algorithms for LPO and LRO products using switch-based test setups.
Requirements
- Experience with DVT/DXVT testing for high-speed optical or networking systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in complex hardware/software validation environments.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and R&D sites, including vendor coordination.
- Practical knowledge of optical transceiver bring-up, testing, and performance optimization.
Benefits
- Opportunity to work on cutting-edge 800G/1.6T and future-generation optical products.
- Cross-functional, global collaboration with design, QA, and external vendor teams.
- Role focused on improving test processes and accelerating validation outcomes.
