About the Role
Join our team as a Switch Systems Test Engineer to help standardize and scale Switch-based DVT (XDVT) test coverage for next-generation optical transceiver products, including 800G, 1.6T, and future 3.2T platforms. You’ll work across teams and sites to improve test coverage definition, streamline XDVT submissions, and strengthen verification and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Support the standardization and rollout of Switch-based DVT (XDVT) test coverage for new optical transceiver products.
- Continuously define and refine XDVT coverage, and streamline the submission, verification, and data reporting workflow.
- Coordinate global XDVT activities and assist with XDVT failure analysis in partnership with design teams across R&D sites.
- Help module design and QA teams with urgent optical transceiver evaluation, optimization, and debugging on switch platforms.
- Collaborate directly with switch and DSP vendors for joint troubleshooting, including challenging link flap issues.
- Co-develop module tuning and optimization algorithms for LPO/LRO products using Switch-based test setups.
Requirements
- Experience with DVT/XDVT testing, verification, and test coverage development for high-speed optical or networking systems.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, including working with design, QA, and engineering teams across multiple locations.
- Ability to perform failure analysis and support debugging efforts under tight timelines.
- Experience coordinating with external vendors (e.g., switch and DSP) for co-debugging and issue resolution.
- Knowledge of optical transceiver technologies and switch-based test environments.
Benefits
- Opportunity to work on cutting-edge optical transceiver and switch validation efforts.
- Cross-site collaboration with design, QA, and vendor partners.
- Hands-on role improving test automation and reporting processes for faster product readiness.
