About the Role
Axiado is seeking an experienced Vice President to lead our legal function, own the People/HR strategy, and provide operational oversight of our international subsidiaries. This is a full-time on-site leadership role based at our San Jose, CA headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the company’s General Counsel, advising senior leadership and the Board on corporate governance, transactions, and risk management
- Own contract negotiation and legal strategy across the business, including IP strategy and key legal agreements
- Guide regulatory compliance efforts and support enterprise-wide legal and risk mitigation initiatives
- Lead the People/HR function by driving HR strategy, processes, and infrastructure for a fast-growing, venture-backed technology organization
- Oversee regional operations for international subsidiaries (excluding R&D and sales), including direct or dotted-line reporting relationships
- Partner with executive leadership to ensure legal, people, and operational priorities align with company goals
Requirements
- Proven experience as a senior legal leader (e.g., General Counsel or comparable executive role)
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance, contract negotiation, IP strategy, and regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated success building and scaling HR strategy and operational HR capabilities
- Experience supporting international operations and subsidiary oversight
- Excellent judgment, communication, and ability to advise executives and the Board
